Sweet Indulgence

Hay naku, nasuper stress ako sa kaliwa't kanan na assessments at panel interviews nitong mga nakaraang araw. Nagpapatayan kaming mga sampung nilalang para lang sa isang posisyon. Kung di lang dahil sa dagdag na kadatungan ay hindi ko papahirapan ang munti kong isipan at papaduguin ang ilong ko sa promotion na ito.


Pero keri lang teh! kinaya naman ng beauty at powers ko! Mas lamang naman ako ng maraming paligo at suklay sa mga pana (indians) na kajamming ko sa paligsahang ito. (Sana pabanguhan na lang ang labanan :D)


At dahil feeling ko inexploit ko ng husto ang katawang lupa ko, kailangan itreat ko ang sarili ko.


At dahil Starbucks lang ang pinakamalapit na tindahan malapit sa bus stop bago ako umuwi ay wala akong nagawa kundi ubusin ang natitirang anda sa aking pitaka para sa mala-gintong pastries dito.


Pero di naman ako nagsisi, bumili ako ng Chocolate Loving Cake sa presyong 20 dirhams isang slice (234 pesos lang naman -- sapat na para makabili ng isang buong chocolate roll sa Goldilocks o Red Ribbon para sa 5-6 katao!) at hindi naman ako nagkamali dahil napawi lahat ang stress sa katawan ko. Parang nawala ako sa ulirat sa bawat subo ng cake na ito! Charing!hehehe. 


Dahil sa sobrang nagtimawa ako sa cake na ito sa sarap eh naubos ko ng di man lang nakukuhanan muna ng litrato. Pero I tried so hard to check kay Google kung may natago syang photo ng sumptuous cake na ito para lang takamin ang mga readers. at eto cya -- moist, chocolatey, and mouth watering:

Sarap to the max, sagad hanggang buto ang pagnamnam ko sa chocolate filling nito na parang ice cream -- tinalo pa ang M&M sa pagmelt sa mouth ko.hehehe.


Dapat lang na masarap ito dahil ang presyo naman day eh katumbas na ng isang kilong baboy na pwedeng mapakain ang isang pamilya!


Sabi ko sa sarili ko: "Ineng, huwag ma-addict dito, hindi lang masakit sa bulsa kundi sisiksik pa ang blusa!"


Minsan lang naman ito, pagbigyan na ang katawang lupa sa ganitong mga indulgence. :)

Tag-Ulan sa Disyerto

Yipeeeeee! Tag-ulan in the desert na!hehehe. Just lovin' the weather outside -- makulimlim, malamig na simoy ng hangin, at music to the ear na patak ng ulan.

Super nakakamiss ang patak ng ulan sa bubong ng bahay kapag ang nakapaligid sa iyo ay disyerto. Goodbye pawis, goodbye humidity at hello jackets and payong! :D


Kaso ang problema dito, konting ulan lang baha na kagad sa kalsada. Just like in the airport kanina, isang bagsak ng ulan, ayun nagmistulang dagat ang kahabaan ng runway!hehehe.

Pero keri lang to! Mas gugustuhin ko nang makatabi sa bus ang basang mama dahil sa ulan at hindi dahil sa pawis. Saka it's high time para sa mga maaantang tao dito na makapaligo na rin ng libre ang tubig at malabhan ang mga damit na isang buwan ata bago nila palitan! hehehe.

My Travel Plan 2012 - Part 1

Being in the airline industry, it is our privilege to travel to a lot of places either for free or with a big discount (50 or 90%). 

Almost all of us have used and abused this benefit already.....except for me. (*sad face with teary eyes*)

I am using my annual leave ticket but the discounted tickets to travel all around the world -- naaah!

Sabi ng nanayko "be wise in spending your money. Invest, invest, invest!" At dahil ako ay masunuring bata (kahit pasaway at maldita most of the time), I spent the past 3 years in putting my money in real estate. Sa awa ng Diyos, natapos na rin ako sa paghulog ng 2 lote ng lupa. :)

Pero cyemps hindi mawawala sa akin ang mangarap na maikot ang mundo at mangolekta ng iba't ibang keychains, fridge magnets, at Starbucks mugs (pwede na rin ng fafa!) sa iba't ibang sulok ng daigdig.

I have visited some places already like Iran, Hongkong, Malaysia, Singapore, at syempre ang mga emirati ng UAE. But I still wanted to visit other cities. 

I've made a list of all the cities na tatargetin ko, hopefully by next year:

1) Amsterdam 

Gusto kong bisitahin ang Sex Museum :D

In the very, very near future, mauupuan din kita:

At op kors, isang dadayuhin ko sa AMS ay ang mouth watering space cake. Peace,men!

2) Germany

Matapos sa Amsterdam, magtetrain ako papunta ng Germany para lumagok ng sandamakmak na beer sabay pa-beauty na rin with beer spa. Drink all you can itech mga repapips!

3) Paris, France

Huling destinasyon sa aking Schengen trip ay ang romantikong Paris. Subukan ko kung umepekto ang beer spa at habulin na ako ng mga les hommes sa Eiffel Tower.

4) California

Gusto kong itry talaga ang mga rides sa Six Flags Magic Mountain sa US. 

Tignan ko lang kung hindi ako maihi sa super excitement at takot nito. For sure this will be a memorable experience talaga hehehe.

Double purpose na rin ang pagpunta ko sa Cali. Pagkagaling sa Six Flags, ipunin ko ang aking suka then punta ako sa West Covina, itapon ko sa pinto ng bahay ng ex ko. bwahahaha!

5) Japan

Gusto kong magpapicture kay Kimura Takuya at kay Doraemon.

Tapos itatapat ko ng Abril ang pagpunta para masaksihan ko ang Kanamara Matsuri Festival nila.

Buti na lang free ang Japan tourist visa dito sa amin kaya pede akong magparticipate sa festival na ito taon-taon. nyahaha!

Tutal andun na rin naman ako, makikipag-eyeball na rin ako sa japenggong sakang na half pinoy na ka-chat ko.hehehe!

Eto munang lima na ito ang targetin ko kasi masakit sa bulsa kung dadamihan ko pa. 

Hanggang sa muling pangangarap natin! Abangan ang mga susunod na kabanata. :D

I planned to shift to CHEM kaso nung nalaman ko maraming paperworks tinamad na ako kc ang lalayo ng mga buildings sa UP kakapagod!wag na lang!although i was very much qualified to shift at that time ha.

Not during my college days. I tried the dorm for law and MA students nung nagtuturo na ako.I forgot the name already e (memory gap na!hehehe). Basta sa likod ng Chapel. Just stayed there for 1 sem. D ko kaya ng walang YAYA!weheheheheh!

Op kors!!!Napuno nga TOR ko ng uno!hahahahaha!

None!my lowest was 2.5 only. may takot ako sa parents ko e.

Most of the time I maximized ung 6 absences allowed per class. But if there is a .25 bonus sa grade kapag perfect attendance, cyempre NIL absence ang lola nyo!

Ung faculty room ko kasi that was d only place where u can concentrate a lot...and SLEEP!hehehe. Solo ko lagi.yoko kasi ng mataong lugar e almost all corners of UP may makikita kang tao e!

Yup, coz minsan mas mabilis pa maglakad kesa sumakay ng IKOT at TOKI.dahil sa UP lumaki ang binti ko!

My parents used to give me 150 pesos when I was in 1st year then nagincrease hnggang 200pesos nung 4th year.kasi naman i used to commute - bulacan-diliman-bulacan

Wala ako org not until my 4th year so most of d tym sa main lib kmi not to study but to sleep at magtsismisan!hehehe.Saka I dont make tambay in UP, I preferred being in SM North!

I've been in UP Infirmary twice not to be treated but for medical checkup - 1st one for freshman enrollment and 2nd one when i was hired as a faculty

26. DID YOU TRY BEING ROMANTICALLY INVOLVED WITH SOMEONE ELSE IN UP?
Nope. Mga weird ang guys sa UP e!PEACE!hehehe.Saka gusto ko nman mapahinga utak ko while w/ someone else and not having intellectual conversations/debates even while relaxing noh!

1st year 1st sem - PING PONG (lumaban pa ako sa interblock competition)
1st year 2nd sem - BADMINTON yta (I swear hindi ko matandaan!!!!kasi alam ko hindi kami minimeet ng prof nun e)
2nd year 1st sem - AUSSIE SPORTS (i loved this kc xchngd students from Australia ang mga instructors!)
2nd year 2nd sem - PHILIPPINE GAMES (nagpakamakabayan naman ako after trying foreign sports!)

28. DID YOU HAVE ANY DIFFICULTY ENLISTING IN ALL YOUR NEEDED SUBJECTS DURING ENROLMENT?
Hay kainis ang mga mahahabang pila tapos pagdating mo sa harap e close na ang lahat ng slots ha!Eniweys I did not have lots of bad experience while enlisting. Pumipila lang nga talaga ako ng mahaba at tumatagaktak ang pawis patakbo sa susunod na room!Nahirapan lang ako sa STS nun ska sa isang PE class ko pero other than that it was ok kasi well planned ang lahat! at sabi nga mga friends ko SWERTE AKO!hehehe.

29. WHAT WAS YOUR USUAL SCHEDULE IN COLLEGE?
I was a morning person before and I wanted to get home early so sinisiksik ko lhat ng subj ko sa umaga. Most of the time 0700- 1300 lng ang sked ko. Pinakalate na ang 1600pm kapag no choice talaga. Nung nag- MA lang ako nagkaroon ng class until 2000pm.

30. WHAT ARE YOUR ORGS IN UP?
Sabi ko nga gusto ko lagi umuuwi ng maaga kasi layo house ko so d ako sumasali sa org coz they'll keep u in UP until the wee hours! UP PRAXIS lng org ko. one of the founding members kasi kaya wla masyado demands sa tym!hehehe.

31. HAVE YOU TRIED PARTICIPATING IN ONE OF THE STUDENT RALLIES ORGANIZED BY UP?
Nope. Ayaw ng parents ko. kaya kapag dineclare na no class bcoz they wanted us to participate in d rally e sa SM North ako tumatambay or go home na lang.

32. HAVE YOU BEEN/SEEN ANY FRAT WARS?
Sa labas ng Main Lib madalas ang frat wars. kakatakot minsan.

33. HAVE YOU TRIED STAYING IN SUNKEN GARDEN?
Yup! I remembered the days with Tin, Vids, Tess and Kaye while mega emote hbang nakaupo sa gilid ng sunken!

34. WHAT DO YOU MISS MOST ABOUT UP COLLEGE DAYS?
Sleepless nights while doing research papers, sleepovers with friends doing projets (mas maraming tym sa gala kesa sa paggawa ng projects!hehehe)

Palaban kapag naaapi!and most of all BEAUTY and BRAINS like me!wag aangal!hehehehe.

Good Ol' Funwich Days

I miss eating my fave ice cream during my childhood days -- no other than the FUNWICH! For some of you who are not familiar with this ice cream, Funwich is an ice cream sandwiched between two round shaped chocolate flavored biscuits. It was manufactured by Presto in the early 90s. I remember it had 2 flavors before -- chocolate and vanilla ice cream.

I was so addicted to this that I always skip recess to save money and buy funwich before going home. I even asked for "baon" from my classmates in order not to spend my money for lunch! hahaha.

I wonder why Presto stopped manufacturing this ice cream and why the other ice cream manufacturers in our country create their own version of Funwich. It would be a great hit for sure as there are lots of us out here craving for that mouth-watering round ice cream sandwich.

I became nostalgic about this Funwich because it has a resemblance to the famous ice cream in Singapore that we just had recently. My mom calls it "rectangle ice cream" because of its shape. My siblings and I had fun trying the different flavors of SG's version of their ice cream sandwich.

This is also SG's version of our dirty ice cream. Instead of the traditional cones, they use wafers. Other than the big block of ice cream, I would still prefer our own ice cream pandesal over SG's ice cream wafer. :)

Oh, I miss Pinas and of course the street foods everywhere! And cyemps, I miss Funwich! hehehe.

Sa Kusina ni Aling Kuracha - Chili Chicken

Since I needed food to think, I dashed right away in my little nook and tried to prepare my own version of Chili Chicken. I so wanted to eat in BonChon to taste their famous Korean style chicken wings but the place is inaccessible. So I just decided to experiment and make use of whatever ingredients I have in my fridge.

Warning: I don't use measuring cups or tablespoons because I am a master of my own "tantyahan" method! hehehe!

Ingredients:

1 whole chicken, chopped in desirable size
cornstarch or all purpose flour
barbecue powder (I used the one I bought from SM Hypermarket)
cooking oil
chili powder
salt to taste
soy sauce

catsup (hot flavor)
garlic
water
sugar

Procedures:
1) Chop the chicken into desired sizes, wash then let them dry for a few minutes.
2) Heat the cooking oil in the pan. While waiting for the oil to get hot, prepare the chicken coating. Mix together the all purpose flour/cornstarch, barbecue powder, chili powder, and salt.
3) Coat each of the chicken pieces and deep fry.
4) Set aside the fried chicken and heat another pan. Saute the chopped garlic until brown. Add water, catsup, soy sauce, vinegar, sugar and put into boil.
5) Get the coating leftover and dissolve in cold water. Add to the boiling mixture and stir until the sauce becomes thick.
6) Put the fried chicken into the sauce. Make sure that every piece is covered with the sauce.

Voila! You'll have a very simple dish yet a very delectable one. Hindi ka lang mapapafinger-licking good kundi mapapa-sarap to the bones pa! :)

Parteeey in Cemetery!

Bakit kaya wala akong maka-chat sa Pinas?! Opkors, they are all parteyying in the cemetery! hehehe.


Honga naman, grand reunion na naman ito dahil Nov01 na. Ang mga kawawang kaluluwa na naga-rest in peace na for so long ay muli na namang nabulabog ng dumadagundong na sound system, hagakhakan ng mga gurang, kantyawan ng mga lasing, sigawan ng mga gremlins na bata, at harutan ng mga makikiring magsyota. 


Haaay buti na lang hindi bumabangon sa hukay ang mga deads at pagkukurutin kayo sa singit! 


Anyways, I don't wanna be a party pooper. Sige lang, enjoy life at hindi magtatagal isa na rin kayo sa mga bubulabugin namin sa sementeryo. Bwahahahaha!

Back in Blogging!

At last, I'm back!!! It's been 3 years already since I started (and stopped!hehehe) my own blog. I miss writing so much. Too bad I can't retrieve anymore my old blog so I have to start all over again :(
